Dave Kansas, Editor - Bio

Dave Kansas has been a writer and storyteller throughout his career. Throughout his career, he has also engaged with several start-ups and constantly sought to innovate new concepts that properly reward creators for their work. While Dave has pursued many paths, including starting and running companies, writing and storytelling have always remained a core passion.

As a public media executive, he launched a podcast business and moved his company from a linear broadcast model to an on-demand model. In that process, he created a successful podcast division that grew to more than 15 million downloads per month. At The Wall Street Journal, he transformed the news operations from focusing on the newspaper to focusing on its digital platforms.

Dave has written for major publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Fortune Magazine and others. In addition, he has written four books, including two Amazon best sellers, primarily focused on innovation, technology and finance. He has also appeared on CNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, BBC, CBC and other television outlets and been interviewed on podcasts and radio programs.

As an advocate for creators and storytellers, Dave is excited about joining FiAbi, a platform focused on transforming how creators get rewarded for their work by protecting their intellectual property rights.

He resides in St. Paul, MN, with his two, energetic young kids, who show flashes of writing and creativity everyday. We want to set up a platform that will encourage their work – as well as your own.
